• Make the rim of the pot look more evenly painted.
  • Keep everything the same, but replace the peace sign coming out of the plant with a yellow, plastic, 2 dimensional hand- not a realistic hand.
  • Go back to the same kind of "hap hazard" placement of all the stickers, just not as many as the previous image.
  • Create an image on a 6-8 inch clay pot with an evenly-painted bright green rim, and the quote, Don’t leaf your dreams behind. Make the quote look like it was painted by a thirteen-year-old and have some painted leaves scattered here and there all over the pot. Place a lemon balm plant in the pot.
  • Try a different painting, like it was done by a twelve-year-old, that says, "War Eagle".
  • Try a different painted-on emblem for the University of Alabama painted by a twelve-year-old.

Ten to thirteen-year-olds will enjoy giving their plant its very own personality—all while learning what plants need to thrive, reviewing photosynthesis, and learning about the many different uses for herbs. They will also give their plant personality with a sports theme, a quote, or other themed interest.
